You will find no hidden fees or charges on our invoices, we stick to our original quote! The only thing we ever add to the final invoice is the actual cost of the permit from your township and engineer. The reason for this is the large variation in fees. Some municipalities charge $100, but some charge as much as $1,200.

We will work to make the whole project as hassle-free as possible. That includes providing you with all drawings and specs needed for your Homeowners Association, getting all needed permits from the local authorities, scheduling all inspections, and making sure that all work is approved. We try very hard to communicate every step of the process and to be as respectful of your privacy and property as possible.

Our deck construction process is one of the least invasive in the industry. We cut and build many parts of the deck at our shop to reduce noise on the job site, and to bring construction time down significantly. We have all the building materials delivered to our shop, then we bring them with us on the day we start your deck. This means no stacks of lumber in your driveway for days or weeks before your deck is even started.

If at any time your deck is not up to your standards, please call or email us. It is helpful if you can email a picture of the problem, however, we do not require you to take pictures or fill out any claim forms. A simple phone call or email will get one of our guys out to fix the issue as quickly as possible.

We use # 1-grade Pressure Treated wood for our framing lumber, along with the best galvanized or stainless steel fasteners to ensure that your deck has a solid foundation. All of the deck boards, railings, lights, and other materials we use, are brands that we trust. All the parts we use to build your deck will have some type of warranty, ranging from 1 year to lifetime. So if any part of your deck isn’t working properly or isn’t holding up to the weather, contact us and we will work with our suppliers to get it replaced for you.

All of the guys on the team at Decks R Us are Lancaster County natives. Many are Amish deck builders who were raised working alongside our fathers on farms, or in small businesses.
